We've Hit Another Big One......

Today I had to remove the (almost) from my profile, that said I am an (almost) 50 year old.

I am currently sitting in bed, wondering how I am going to respond to this day - it could go either way at this stage.

I'll get back to you.

Cheers
Fi

  1. Happy birthday! I really hope the next year, and indeed the decade, are an improvment on the last. And in the meantime, may I suggest you put the kettle on and get stuck into your birthday cake?

  3. Hello Fi! So happy to see you at Tangled Happy today. I hope your response to being 50 today was a good one! I love this photo of you. I think we all get better as we age. We have more grace, wisdom, kindness and understanding for others. One of my daughters is now 15 and looking back I wouldn't trade places with her. So happy to be where I am now. Happy Birthday! Wishing you all the best in 2011. :)

  5. Hi Fi

Firstly, happy birthday! I tried to comment earlier on your blog but I couldn't for some reason.

I used one 100g ball for each side of the cardi (2 balls in total) but to be honest if I used the same yarn again I think I would get a couple more so that I could make it longer as it's quite a cropped cardi even with the extra rows on.

    Hope that helped! :)

(Sorry today I have managed to comment twice so I have deleted the first one as they were duplicate comments - doh!!)

  9. Happy Birthday! I will make you feel better, I too am facing a big one "60th" on the 18th. How did I get to be this old, and where did the time go? I cried when I turned 30, then said to myself, "well, it could be worse, I could be 40!" When 40 arrived I just left it roll off my back and 50 was totally ignored. I had things to do and places to go and I swore I would age gracefully. We should feel blessed, some are not so lucky to even live to middle age, but there is still things for you to accomplish, and we are your fans. {{{HUGS}}} PS...love your blog, your artwork is beautiful!
