Holly Wreath Christmas Crochet Earrings

Well, I have just finished sewing the holly berries on to my Christmas wreath earrings.

I want to attempt a step by step for these, but I think it is getting too close to glass of wine time for that much concentration!

I will have a go at it tomorrow, I am really looking forward to doing this.
I have written up instructions (and published books) for many painting projects, but NEVER a crochet project - my mum will be so proud....

By the way, the santa in the background is so cute - you just touch him and he wobbles - you know, like those wobbly headed dogs you used to see in the back windows of cars.

Have a good night, and Ill hopefully see you with a set of instructions tomorrow.

Cheers
Fi

  2. Hi Fi. The earrings and Santa slippers are very cute. I think the Santa slippers would get very dirty in my house, with two dogs. ugh...what was I thinking?

Your blog is very nice. I enjoy it.

To answer your question on my blog, I don't have Mrs. Beatons cookbook. Do I need to look for it? I have several cookbooks, but not very many older ones. I don't go out purposely looking for them, but when I come across one at my garage sale ventures, I usually buy it. I love reading them.

  3. You have become a whirlwind with crochet. Isn't it fun, so many things to make, so little time. I have been busy crocheting and knitting up about 23 winter scarves (I lost count). Five of them were Christmas orders to be given as gifts. Your earrings are so cute. I imagine a person could use the plastic cafe curtain rings to crochet over. I have been busy just admiring so many wonderful blogs. I have added you to my list. Maybe I will attempt to do one myself after this holiday season has calmed down. Thank you for sharing. Susanne :)

  5. Your welcome Crystal.

Bee Lady, I understand perfectly about the dogs - I have one biggish one, and what is more - I found her on top of my bed, on the crocheted blanket, with BOTH of the santa slippers!

Susanne, go on - start a blog! It's great fun. You know, it's as much fun as the crochet.
Because I am on my own most of the time, I am finding the blogging to be a great social outlet, I am meeting so many lovely and likeminded people.
Great work on the scarves, by the way.

    Elsa - thankyou.

    Cheers

  8. OH NO! Sounds like your dog wants to learn to crochet! Did she ruin your Santa slippers? And why do we love our pets? I will be posting someday soon again about our new dog. I tell ya, he was a handful but he is settling down.
