Selfsewn's Package Arrives!!.......

It arrived!!!!

Don't you just love the excitement of receiving something in the mail? (or post, for the Brits).

There is something about the anticipation of a package sitting there, waiting to be opened.

And I knew that this one held something special from a wonderful lady and talented artist - Clare from Selfsewn Blog

It held the prize I won at her new blog address giveaway.

Thankyou Clare!

And this is what I found when I opened up the package.

What a beautiful touch, with the note written on the star, and the crocheted heart tie - bonus!

Here is a close up of the heart and ribbon.

So, without further ado, here it is, Selfsewn's EPP (English paper piecing) star block.

With fabric pieced note.

What a wonderful colour sense she has.  The seed head fabric is a personal favourite of mine.  It reminds of walks along country lanes on Autumn days.

And the mark of true professionalism - a special touch on the back.

Thankyou Clare - you are a wonderful person and true craftswoman.

If you want to learn how to make your own EPP star block, Clare is hosting a flickr group and has tutorials on it.

cheers
Fi

  6. Fi I always get excited when I see a Royal Mail stamp on an envelope but how exciting to find a parcel in the post........

It's been wrapped with great care and love and that ribbon and crocheted heart is so sweet.

Great colours in the star block and I love seed head designs too.....Queen Anne's Lace, beautiful.

  7. Congratulations on your package from the post! It's very pretty. I love that she wrapped it with a crocheted heart. I made some of those and it's a great idea to use them like that. You could tie the ribbon on it and hang it from something. I have a houseplant that is a tree and I hang bits and bobs from it! Do I sound all Brit-like saying bits and bobs?
